How SMS consent is collected
SMS consent is collected inside the authenticated WhatCanISing application.
SMS messages are sent via the WhatCanISing (WCIS) platform on behalf of registered Hosts. Hosts can only message Users who are registered on the platform and have explicitly opted in.
When a User interacts with a Host on our platform, they are shown an unchecked checkbox labeled:
“I agree to receive promotional text messages from this host.”
Users must actively check this box to opt in.
No messages are sent unless the User has explicitly opted in..
Opt-out
Users can revoke their consent at any time by unchecking the same option in the application.
Opt-out takes effect immediately.

Messaging is one-way (no replies)
Consent is stored per Host–User relationship only
Hosts can only message Users who have opted in
Hosts cannot message users outside of our platform
